Less paperwork.
More of us
for you.

01

Book a slot, not a callback.

Pick a time on our calendar and confirm in under a minute. No phone tag, no waiting two days for a reply with three suggested slots.

02

Meet by video, or in Munich.

Most consultations happen on a screen so you can join from Berlin, Lisbon, or your kitchen table. Our office in Munich is open whenever you would rather meet in person.

03

AI does the typing. We do the thinking.

Inside DATEV, AI handles document recognition and pre-coding. Every figure that leaves this office has been read, checked, and signed off by a qualified human.

The Process

From your first email to your
year-end balance sheet.

Here is what working with us actually looks like, step by step. Nothing about this is mysterious. We think you should know.

01

First Contact

You book a free initial consultation.

Fill out and submit the short form: what is your situation, and what would you like to talk about? You’ll receive our conditions relevant to your need within a few seconds, including your private scheduling link. When you agree to the conditions, use the scheduling link to see the slots that are actually available this week, and pick one. The whole booking takes about sixty seconds.

What you can expect

  • Booking time: ~60 seconds, self-service
  • Lead time: usually within the same week
  • Cost: the first call is on us
  • Language: English, by default

02

First Conversation

We talk on video. Properly.

This is not a sales pitch with a polished slide deck. It is a real working conversation with Birgit Augustin, the licensed Steuerberaterin who would actually be responsible for your file. We listen, we ask questions, we sketch out the options on a shared screen if that helps.

If you would rather meet in person, our Munich office next to Viktualienmarkt is open. Most international clients prefer video, and that is fine, we have been doing this since well before it was fashionable.

Format

  • Channel: video call, screen sharing supported
  • Duration: 30 to 45 minutes
  • You speak with: Birgit, not an account manager
  • Alternative: in-person, Munich, on request

03

Onboarding

Documents move into DATEV Unternehmen Online.

If we are a fit, we set you up on DATEV Unternehmen Online, the secure document portal used by most professional tax practices in Germany. You upload receipts and invoices there from a phone, a laptop, or directly from your bookkeeping tool. We see them in real time on our side.

This replaces the older world of email attachments, paper folders, and quarterly courier deliveries. It is also why your year-end closing does not feel like a fire drill in March.

What changes for you

  • No more email attachments for receipts
  • Mobile photo upload for paper invoices
  • Real-time visibility into what we have and what is missing
  • Encrypted, German data protection compliant

04

Ongoing Work

AI reads the receipts. Humans read the law.

This is the part most tax firms do not talk about, so we will. Inside DATEV, AI-assisted tools handle the repetitive layer of bookkeeping: reading invoices, suggesting account assignments, flagging anomalies, matching bank movements. We have used these tools for long enough to trust their basics and to know exactly where they get things wrong.

Every entry that touches your books is reviewed by a qualified person before it stands. The AI saves us hours of typing each week. Those hours go back into the part you actually hired us for, thinking carefully about your specific situation, finding deductions a generalist would miss, and being available when you have a question.

The division of labour

  • AI does: document capture, pre-coding, anomaly flags
  • We do: review, judgement, tax strategy, your filings
  • Final signature: always Birgit Augustin, Steuerberaterin
  • Liability: ours, fully insured under German law

05

Staying in Touch

Scheduled video check-ins. Plain English summaries.

Once a quarter, or whenever something changes on your side, we do a short video review of where the GmbH stands: profit position, tax liability outlook, anything the Finanzamt has been in touch about. You leave the call knowing what is happening and what is coming.

Anything the German tax office writes to you, we translate into plain English and tell you what, if anything, you actually need to do about it. The same scheduling link you used the first time stays open for ad hoc calls.

Cadence

  • Quarterly: short video review of figures and outlook
  • Annual: longer planning call before year-end
  • Ad hoc: book any open slot when you need one
  • Tax office mail: translated and explained, always

The Tools Behind the Practice

We chose our digital stack so that you wouldn’t have to.

There are dozens of ways to run a modern German tax practice. We picked tools that are secure, used by serious German firms, and that genuinely give us back time. Here is what runs in the background while we work on your file.

Scheduling

Self-service booking

A private calendar link with real-time availability. You see open slots, pick one, get a confirmation. We see them appear on our side and prepare. Nobody chases anybody.

Consultation

Video calls, by default

Encrypted video conferencing with screen sharing. We can walk you through a balance sheet, a tax notice, or a calculator output as if we were sitting at the same desk. In-person in Munich is always available too.

Core platform

DATEV, the German standard

DATEV is the platform German tax advisors trust for bookkeeping, payroll, and filings. It is what we use for every client, with AI-assisted document recognition and built-in compliance for German tax law.

About AI, said clearly. We use AI features inside DATEV to speed up the mechanical parts of bookkeeping. We do not use AI to give tax advice, to write your filings, or to make decisions about your case. Every tax-relevant decision and every filing remains under the personal responsibility of Steuerberaterin Birgit Augustin, fully insured under German law. The AI saves time. The judgement is human.

Why we work this way

The point of all this is more time with you.

The reason we built a digital workflow is not because it sounds modern. It is because the alternative, the way most tax firms still operate, eats hours every week that should be spent on the client.

When AI handles document recognition, when scheduling is self-service, when consultations are on video by default, the practice gets a quiet kind of efficiency back. We use that efficiency for one thing: being properly available to the people who hired us.

That means looking carefully at your specific situation. Spotting that the holding structure might be cleaner. Catching the deduction your previous advisor missed. Picking up the phone, or the video call, when something is on your mind.

~40% of routine bookkeeping time is now handled by AI-assisted tools inside DATEV.

That time is reinvested in client conversations, tax strategy, and review. It is not used to take on more clients than we can serve well.

Things people ask
before signing up.

Do I have to come to Munich to work with you?

No. The vast majority of our clients are served entirely by video and DATEV. We are based in Munich because Birgit lives there and the chamber she is registered with is in Munich. The office is open if you would rather meet in person.

Is “AI-assisted” a polite way of saying my taxes are done by a chatbot?

Absolutely not. AI inside DATEV reads documents and pre-codes routine entries. A qualified tax assistant or accountant reviews everything. Birgit Augustin signs off on tax-relevant decisions and filings personally. Liability sits with us, fully insured. The AI is a typing assistant, not an advisor.

Is my data safe in DATEV?

Yes. DATEV is the platform that the majority of German tax practices use, including for very large mandates. It is built around German data protection law, hosted in Germany, and used precisely because of those guarantees.

What if I do not like video calls and just want to email?

That is fine. Video is our default because it is faster and clearer for most international clients, but plenty of our work moves by email and DATEV. We adapt to how you actually want to be served.

How quickly can we start?

The free initial call is usually available within the same week through the booking link. If we are a fit, onboarding into DATEV typically takes a few days. We can move faster when there is a deadline involved, just say so on the call.

Ready when you are

Pick a time, have a real conversation.

The first call is free, on video, with Birgit. No sales script. Bring your situation and your questions.
